Gotta Catch 'Em All! ...

So today I had the privilege of attending a choir practice for all of the institute choirs in the Salt Lake Valley. I am in the LDSBC Choir and so we had to join. This practice was for General Conference, which we are singing at in the Saturday Afternoon Session. (SO STOKED) Anyways. We usually go and have practices all together 2 weeks prior.
Now...I obviously don't know anyone else from any of the other choirs. But today...i found a guy who i really want to be friends with now.

So i was just sitting in my alto section, which was right next to the tenors. I look to my right and I see that there was this dude.............cross stitching?!

Yes Folks, you read that right. The dude was cross stitching. Legit cross stitching.
I tried desperately to see what he was making, but he kept hiding it. It was purple in color, and to me it looked like a clam, or maybe a flower? This kept my interest through out the whole practice. (that's 2 hours people!) (p.s. I did pay attention, and I did sing everything)

But then.....i saw it....

I saw what he was cross stitching.....and I.....couldn't believe it.

I thought to myself. "really......REALLY!?"

(get ready for it)

IT WAS A POKEMON!

The dude was totally cross stitching a pokemon. It looks really good too! He was so proud to present it to me, when I asked to see it after the practice. Seriously. This Pokemon kid has some serious grandma skillz.

im sorry i still can't get over this....IT WAS A POKEMON!

Oh yeah....

....My arm is free.


(and evidently I have like, alien fingers!?? Sheesh! why didn't anyone tell me that they were that freakishly long?!)

How did I know....

So yesterday, Colt came to pick me up in the morning. (We help elementary school children learn how to read every monday morning in Rose park) I got the text saying that he was down in the parking lot waiting and ready to go. So i headed down. When I started walking to his car, i looked inside and noticed that he was mildly freaking out and laughing. I was concerned because I thought I looked funny or something.

But when I got in the car, I immediately understood.

He copied me!

We were matching!

We didn't plan it!

We were like those old couples that wear the same colored sweatsuits and race down the sidewalks with their walkers! Oh gosh!

Some how I just knew when I got dressed that day that we were going to be wearing the same thing. I just knew it. It had happened once before with our red alligator sweaters. Sheesh. What next....


Wow what a cute couple if I do say so myself!

At least half as cute in my cast as these guys are in theirs. :(

What got me chuckling was the name of the veterinary hospital these toad was taken: "St. Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital".

Saint Tiggywinkles???

Now I know these animals aren't in a cast. But they are still cute just the same.

He got his leg stuck in a T.P roll. but he seems pretty happy about it.

And I know these isn't a cast. but i find it so cool that animals are getting amazing medical treatment now. A bionic legged llama!?

So. I didn't have the greatest day today. I texted cousins to help me out. To cheer me up. Dana went to the love extreme and made me a comic. Its called. "Don't be sad, Little Abi!". It made me cry because it was just what I needed. I can not thank you enough Dana. I love you to pieces sweet hunay chiiiii. Seriously though. Thank you so much. i really love you

Guym? Whats a Guym?

So this month, Colt and I have decided that we are going to try our best to get in shape. I am really needing this, because next month I am going to be getting hip surgery and I don't want to become a slobby blob in a wheelchair. So i am trying to get as fit as I can before then. Plus it will really help cut down on recovery time, which will be a blessing. Anyways, at Colt's house, there is a treadmill and so we made a plan that everytime I come over I will run on it for half an hour. Now...when it comes to running or exercise, I kinda get serious, because 1. if you mess around you can really injure yourself and 2. i hate it and so i just try to get it done as fast as i can. (which sadly is still 30 min)

But....again, Colt has changed my bad outlook on it. Colt has made me look at exercising from a new angle. A more.....Silly...angle to be exact. Just watch.
